The 3270 Connector defines a 3270/3270E Access to every Host Transaction. The information are retrieved via several transaction steps that are described in so called "access paths". The information provided by a 3270 Connector can be retrieved from multiple transaction steps (Screens).
The implementation of the 3270 connector is done via a SAGA D.C. written 3270 Java Class. There is also the option to use IBM HACL or OpenConnect Systems JHLLAPI to get access to theIBM Mainframes.
